TEACHERS KEY TASKS

Motivate and discuss with the students the MATHS ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE and/or CRACAMAC challenges, using this webpage or our brochure.

Photocopy for the students:
Student Action Planning Chart; Investigation Examples /Topics List; Parent Permission Letter.

Co-ordinate the Order and send to: M.A.C Secretary.

Distribute Investigation cards on delivery.

Keep Badges/Certificates in a secure place ready for presentation.

Monitor Assessment:
Assessment is simple and is not time consuming. When an investigation is finished the teacher needs to sign that off and monitor the Student Evaluation Checklist.

Arrange presentation of Badges/Certificates.

STUDENT'S ACTION PLAN

1

Decide to do a M.A.C or CRACAMAC Challenge.

Ask my teacher for “information” about MAC / CRACAMAC.

Choose which Challenge to begin with. Check the Challenges page.

Note: a Super Challenge is 3 separate Challenges over 12 months and is only available for MAC.

When all three Challenges have been completed, send the original “signed off” Investigation Cards to:
P.O Box 69039 Lincoln, Canterbury,
to receive your Super Badge.

Take the Parent’s / Caregivers Letter home.

Discuss programme at home and return the Permission Slip with payment of $10.

Discuss with your teacher the investigations and begin your first inquiry.

7

Get your teacher to sign off each investigation as you complete them.

Complete the Evaluation Checklist when you have completed all the challenges.

Arrange for the Badge and Certificate to be presented.

Start another Challenge.
